FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Verything you need to know about sourcing with SourceYK.
Q: What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
A: Typically, our MOQ starts at 500 units for custom branding (OEM). However, for neutral packaging or trial orders, we can often support smaller batches starting from 100 units depending on the product category.
Q: Do you charge a service fee or a markup?
A: We believe in Radical Transparency. We charge a flat service fee (typically 5-10% based on order value) and share the original factory invoices with you. No hidden markups, no kickbacks.
Q: What quality control standards do you follow?
A: We strictly adhere to the AQL 2.5 (Acceptable Quality Limit) standard. Every shipment undergoes a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). If the defect rate exceeds the limit (Major 2.5 / Minor 4.0), we reject the batch and enforce factory rework at no cost to you.
Q: What quality control standards do you follow?
A: Yes. Being based in Yongkang (the Hardware Capital), we have direct access to component suppliers (motors, casings, batteries). We can help you open new molds, change colors, and redesign packaging faster than trading companies.
Q: Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
A: Absolutely. We can consolidate samples from multiple factories into one box and ship it to you via DHL/FedEx to save shipping costs. Sample costs are 100% refundable upon your first bulk order.
Q: Do you offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping?
A: Yes. We provide a hassle-free DDP service to the US, UK, and EU. This means we handle export documentation, sea freight, customs clearance, and duty payment. The price we quote is the price you pay to get goods to your door.
Q: What is the typical production lead time?
A: For repeat orders, production typically takes 25-35 days. For new OEM projects involving custom packaging or molds, please allow 45-60 days. We provide a weekly production status report (with photos/videos) so you are never in the dark.
Q: How do you protect my Intellectual Property (IP)?
A: We take IP seriously. We sign a strict NNN Agreement (Non-Disclosure, Non-Use, Non-Circumvention) enforceable in China before sharing your designs with any factory.
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: Our standard term is 30% Deposit to start production and 70% Balance after QC inspection pass (before shipment). We accept T/T (Bank Transfer) and USD/EUR/GBP multi-currency accounts.
Q: What happens if I receive defective goods?
A: Although rare due to our strict QC, if defects occur, we offer a Credit or Refund Policy. Simply provide photos/videos of the issue, and we will either replace the units in the next shipment or deduct the value from your next invoice.
